Forgotten Hope 2

Hi everyone and welcome to my first blog!

As I'm an avid gamer, most of my blogs will be about various games that I play or am interested in playing.

This first game I will be writing about is Forgotten Hope 2. This is a mod for the popular EA Battlefield series which started in Battlefield 1942 in the form of Forgotten Hopes 1 and is now in Battlefield 2. The game is set in the World War II era and features many different vehicles and weaponry ranging from famous Panzer tanks, Stukas, 109's and the fearsome 88mm Flak cannon for the Axis side to the Spitfire, Velentine and Mighty Sherman Tank for the Allied side.

The gameplay is excellent. The tanks and guns are very realistic to the way they would have been back in WWII.

The infantry kits a very specific to each role they are made for. Examples of this are the standard rifleman kit which is good for your basic gun fights, then there is the engineer kit which is useful for repairing vehichles and destroyed guns to laying mines for unsuspecting tanks and vehicles heading to a flag. Then you have the anti tank rifleman kit, useful for taking out light tanks and sniping infantry with their rifle and heavier tanks with sticky grenades and 3kg bombs.

The game is of course not without its flaws. The flying in this, as with the standard Battlefield 2 game is sensitive and difficult, not to mention it is often hard to distinguish friend from foe, as uniforms are often similar and tags don't appear as quickly as they should.

Overall I highly recommend this mod if you are into WWII or Battlefield games.

Please feel free to add comments, as I would love to hear what you thought of my blog and the game itself.
